We're building hard things.
We want people who want that.
D8 is a small team with a wide scope: hardware, software, AI, and the R&D that connects them. We don't have career ladders or quarterly OKRs. We have problems that need solving and the autonomy to solve them.
How we work
Ownership over permission
Everyone at D8 owns something real. Not a ticket queue: a problem. You define the approach, you make it work, you see it deployed. If you need someone to tell you what to do next, this isn't the place.
We go all in on
We go as deep as the problem requires. We don't stop at 'working'; we stop at 'correct, robust, and fast'. Curiosity isn't a nice-to-have, it's the job.
No handoffs
Hardware talks to firmware. Firmware talks to the cloud. The cloud talks to the UI. You'll understand the full stack, even the parts that aren't yours. That's how you build things that actually work.
Credentials optional. Mediocrity isn't.
We don't care about degrees or years of experience. Self-taught, still in school, switching fields, all welcome. We care about how you think, how you learn, and how you handle being wrong. Someone who ships beats someone who coasts, every time.
Join Us
No open roles right now. There's always a problem worth solving. Tell us about yourself.
We hire when we find the right person, not when a slot opens. If you build things and want harder problems, send us a note. We read everything.
Students and recent grads: especially welcome. Show us something you've made, even if it's rough.
