D8 is a product engineering startup. We scan industries where existing solutions are fragmented, overpriced, or simply missing. We build what should exist. Our own products and client work are held to the same standard: if it ships from D8, it works.
We operate across R&D, hardware and embedded systems, web and app development, and AI, in one team, without the handoffs or coordination overhead of managing multiple vendors. Most projects touch more than one domain. That's by design.
The name is the philosophy: D8 is Day 8. After the seven days of creation, Day 8 is when humans start building on what already exists: not reinventing, but synthesizing and advancing. That's how we work.

Nadir Alfaro
Mechatronics engineer from the Instituto TecnolĂłgico de Costa Rica. Defended a robotics thesis at TUM's ICS lab in Munich, then continued research across MEMS and NEMS groups at the same university. In the United States, he joined Amazon's automation division, building and commissioning large-scale conveyor systems for supply centers from the ground up. Those years abroad answered a question he hadn't fully formed: if a Costa Rican engineer can operate at that level out there, the talent was never the problem. D8 is what happens when you stop sending it elsewhere and start investing in ourselves.

Padel court scoring system
Sensor hardware mounted on court walls paired with real-time scoring software. Supports casual play, league modes, and pozos rotations across a full club's court inventory.
